Please join Water UCI to discuss the new Advanced Water Purification project in Mission Viejo with Frank Ury, the Mayor of Mission Viejo, and how he and other leaders in the community coordinated both public and private agencies to finance the plan, and accelerate it.
Frank and his wife Rhonda have lived in Mission Viejo since 1989. Elected in 2004 to serve on the Mission Viejo City Council, Frank’s primary goals include improving the quality of life for all Mission Viejo residents. Mayor Ury currently is concentrating on Council Policy to improve our water sustainability strategy and plans on investing a lot of time in 2016 in water reliability, sustainability, and reclamation. A California native, Frank was born in Long Beach and raised in the Midwest (Texas and Kansas). After earning his BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, Frank moved back to California and began work in the high tech industry. He then went on to complete his MS in Electrical Engineering at the University of Southern California and his MBA from UC Irvine.
