Come learn more about affordable housing development and financing, with MURP alum Sidney Stone, Director of Housing and Community Development, Innovative Housing Opportunities, Inc., who will share his experiences and talk with students about working in the affordable housing sector, as a part of the MURP Planning Visions event programming. 

Speaker Bio: As Director of Housing and Community Development at Innovative Housing Opportunities, Inc. (IHO), Sidney Stone oversees all real estate business development and community development activity, including both new construction and rehabilitation of existing properties. He brings extensive experience in public and private sector housing and planning having worked for the cities of Santa Ana, Morgan Hill, and Huntington Beach as well as the County of Orange. In his prior position, Mr. Stone has been involved in acquisitions as well as relationship development, and project management of several deals across the state including two new mixed-use, high rise apartment buildings in downtown Los Angeles for homeless individuals. Mr. Stone holds a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of California, Irvine.
