"Specialized courses. Engaging professors. Internship opportunities. I think the UPPP program has achieved what few graduate programs can - a good balance of planning theory and practice in a dynamic academic setting."
- Claire Nguyen, MURP 1997
Many students in UPPP's degree programs engage in internships that provide an opportunity to gain skills in real-life planning situations, to evaluate procedures and problem-solving strategies used in the work place, and to observe the links between academic ideas and issues and the real world. Internships are an invaluable source of hands-on experience and an opportunity to establish professional contacts in the field, particularly for MURP and MPP students. The following is a small sample of locations where students have completed internships in the past.
